I worte and directed my first micro short film, 'Bokhylla' (The Bookcase), which was filmed in one afternoon and is based on a last minute script and personal experience which follows a Patient, describing their “Nightmares” to their Therapist (a future version of themselves), who helps them to rediscover a new and positive perspective on their self-perception.
The title is inspired by the Swedish Department store, IKEA as "Bokhllya" is the Swedish translation for "Bookcase". The conceptual "Nightmare” is described as a bookcase, which compartmentalises (or shelves) negative thoughts of our self-perception, and most importantly, its crippling effects on our Mental Health…
